Round Top Windows Products was originally set up to provide a PVC Bending service primarily to the extruders of vinyl window profiles and in turn their manufacturing customers.
We believe that there is a great opportunity to service — on a wholesale basis — window & door manufacturers with quality specialty products including vinyl, wood, decorative millwork and custom arched screens. We supply each manufacturer the items they can not economically produce themselves.
When the first Round Top plant opened in March 1987, there was no company in North America providing this type of service. Tony Waterhouse, with years of experience in wood and vinyl, developed our thermoforming technology.
Round Top Windows in Kamloops was opened in April 1989 as a Sales and Distribution facility and opened its manufacturing plant in July 1990. Our bending capabilities went from 5 to 50 profiles in a short period of time. We now have hundreds of different profiles that we are able to bend, mainly for the window and door industry.
We have since then added Wood Bending to our product line. This technology is used for product applications such as window & door components, decorative grills and custom millwork.
The summer of 2008 brought many changes to the Round Top group of companies leading to closures of the Ontario, Oregon and Ohio facilities. Kamloops, BC was the only plant left open.
In August of 2009, the RAB Energy Group of Whitehorse, Yukon, purchased Round Top Window Products (BC) Inc.
Round Top products can be seen from Disneyland Japan to the Banff Springs Hotel, countless resorts, government buildings and homes across North America. Our windows are built one at a time so an order for one is as important as an order for one hundred.
